Pretty pictures from last weekend

Lucky Orange

I helped out a very elegant Chinese woman the other day at my hotel. She didn't speak much English but we managed with a few pictures and hand gestures. In return, she gave me my very first good luck orange along with a gigantic smile. It's one of the most genuine little gifts I've ever received from someone at work... and I promptly took a picture of it then ate it. I'm not sure if that's what you're supposed to do.

I hope I didn't chew up my good luck and wealth.

It's the first cold day of Fall

And it looks like we might be getting a storm with it.

My sweet and shriveled little prickly pear has started to come back to life. It's growing a new lime-green baby paw.
